Mossneuk Parish Church is the local Church of Scotland for Mossneuk in East Kilbride. It's made up of ordinary people from all different backgrounds whose lives are being transformed by the love, power, and grace of God.
Everyone at Mossneuk is at different stages of their journey with God and our worship style, our outlook as a church, and our mission is formed around being an open, inclusive, warm, and Christ-centered community.
At the heart of why we are here is Jesus, who has called us to be his disciples wherever we are. It means that the church is more than a building and although we meet to worship in Mossneuk, we are interested in how God is working throughout our parish and beyond.
Our Sunday Morning Worship is an opportunity to gather together as a family to sing, pray, read scripture and to listen and learn through the preaching of God's Word. Once per month our church becomes a 'Cafe Church' which is a family service, with a break in the middle for tea, coffee, treats and food.
All Children are welcome too, and they can join Sunday Club half way through the service if they wish to do so.
Freedom is an inter-denominational worship event designed with the Freedom of the Spirit in mind. It is made up of congregations from across the many different church denominations, and in particular, across East Kilbride and West of Scotland.
You'll expect to find faithful preaching of the Word, praise music, often modern combined with traditional, times of prayer, a fluid worship experience mixed with the gifts of the Spirit. From February 2023, it will be the first and third Sunday evening of every month
At Mossneuk, we are committed to encouraging each other in God's word and in Prayer. Periodically throughout the year we will host a bible course, most recently The Prayer Course by Pete Greig, which taught us how to pray.
This year, as a congregation, we have committed to reading through the Prophets of the Old Testament from January 2nd, 2022, which can be found here.
Every Friday at 11am many Christians from across East Kilbride and across different parts of the church gather for prayer.
We believe in the centrality of prayer. Whilst many things might be discussed in committee's and in meetings, the true focus of the church happens at Waterwell.
It is named waterwell after the encounter of the Samaritan Woman at the well. It's a place to come, recieve living water, and bathe in the blessings and the Spirit of God.
