On Sunday 13th April, we'll celebrate the start of Easter Holy Week. George will continue preaching through the 1 Thessalonians and we will have our Bible Study after Church, starting at 12 Noon.
The Thessalonians were certain that God the Father had chosen them, and set them apart. They held that deep within them, and it enabled them in their mission. Are you certain of your choseness?
Do you need recomissioned for Christ? Join us as we pray, sing, bless with oil, and recomission you for the work of Jesus in the parish and beyond.
The Last Meal Jesus celebrated before his death, was Passover. It is a historically, spiritually, and morally significant meal taken by the Jewish People still to this day. We will celebrate the meal, Pesach, in a Messianic format. We will learn about the Seder Plate, and the meaning of the ceremony.
Then we will have a middle-eastern meal, celebrated together. George will then interrupted the meal, to take us to the New Covenant Meal of Communion, You need to book a place at Passover, and we ask for a £10 donation to help with the cost of the food that will be prepared for you
We come to the most poignant moment of the week: around the cross of calvary. We have always treated this day with the holiness and reverence that it deserves. This day symbolises the moment the Son of God gave his life for us. The church will be open from 9am for prayer. The cafe will be open, serving tea and toast.
Waterwell will continue as normal at 11am, and afterwards, at 1pm we will meet around the cross for an immersive experience, as we come face to face with Christs death. This is a very emotive service. Be prepared.
Holy Week concludes with the wonderful Good News proclaimed: HE IS RISEN! We are offering breakfast and prayer in the Church from 8am, followed by Morning worship as usual at 10am.
We will have special testimonies from people who've witnessed resurrection power in their lives, and George will continue to preach through the 1 Thessalonians Sermon Series.
